De Silvestri back in action in Bogliasco

Lorenzo De Silvestri got a taste of being back among the squad at training this morning as his return to fitness steps up a gear.

The Italian defender joined in on one of the warm-up games for the first time this season before continuing to work on his recovery alone on the main training pitch.

Michele Rocca also returned to the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini after international duty with Italy U20.

Mattia Cassani and Lazaros Christodoulopoulos carried on with their personal recovery programmes, with Joaquín Correa also at work out on the pitch. The Argentine is back to training with the group, aside from a few individual running drills.

Matías Silvestre, Nenad Krsticic and Alejandro Rodriguez are still in the treatment room, while Andrea Coda’s recovery from injury in Rome is ongoing.

The players have another workout planned for tomorrow morning.
