Double training session on Thursday. Off to Frosinone on Friday

Marco Giampaolo had the team in for a double dose of training on Thursday as the Blucerchiati intensify their efforts ahead of their trip to Frosinone, now just 48 hours away.

It was back to full ranks at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini with Joachim Andersen – the final player to complete his international duty – returning to the fold.

In the morning the Danish defender, together with Dennis Praet, Gaston Ramirez and Lorenzo Tonelli, had a massage and physiotherapy session while the main group, joined by Primavera youngster Simone Pavan, was busy running through technical and tactical drills on pitch 2.

In the afternoon Andersen and Ramirez trained with the rest of the squad as they worked on drills with Saturday’s opponents in mind.

Vasco Regini and Riccardo Saponara pushed on with their respective recovery programmes: swimming in the morning and cycling after lunch for the defender; physiotherapy, fitness and ball work on the pitch and a session in the pool for the midfielder.

The team will train in Bogliasco for the last time on Friday morning before setting off for Frosinone. Marco Giampaolo will not hold his usual pre-match news conference.
