Euro qualifiers: wins for Quagliarella’s Italy and Praet’s Belgium

With two victories out of two over the last week, Fabio Quagliarella’s Italy and Dennis Praet’s Belgium have continued their perfect UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying campaigns so far.

Italy: Roberto Mancini’s side clinched another win and cemented their position on top of Group J with maximum points. Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead in Turin through Edin Dzeko after 32 minutes, but the hosts turned the game around in the second half. The Sampdoria captain was selected from the start and withdrawn at the interval, soon after which Lorenzo Insigne struck an equaliser in the 49th minute. The home faithful had to wait until there were just four minutes left on the clock when Marco Verratti popped up with the winning goal to secure the three points.

Belgium: The Red Devils enjoyed a more comfortable evening, thanks to a 3-0 victory over Scotland. Dennis Praet watched on from the bench as his team-mates racked up a fourth win from four, which has earned them top spot in Group I. Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace, while Kevin De Bruyne added a third late on.
