Ferrero with the team as build-up to Inter begins. Double session on Wednesday

President Massimo Ferrero, Antonio Romei and sporting director Carlo Osti paid a visit to the training ground this morning as Vincenzo Montella gathered his troops back together for a recovery session after the game against Atalanta.

The squad were split up into groups depending on their specific needs and how much of Sunday’s match they played.

Lorenzo De Silvestri, Modibo Diakite, Niklas Moisander and Jacopo Sala all worked individually.

The Blucerchiati will rest up tomorrow before returning to Bogliasco on Wednesday to start cranking up preparations for Saturday’s visit to Inter with a double session.

Meanwhile Carlos Carbonero is set to undergo keyhole meniscus surgery in Barcelona on Tuesday morning. The Colombian forward, who had been having personalised treatment since injuring his knee in training on 1 February, will be operated on by professor Ramon Cugat Bertomeu at Hospital Quiron.
