Internationals return as preparations for Pescara continue

The Sampdoria ranks were bolstered by the return of Bruno Fernandes, Luka Krajnc, Karol Linetty, Dennis Praet, Patrik Schick and Milan Skriniar from international duty on Wednesday as preparations continue in earnest for Saturday’s visit to Pescara.

While the bulk of the international contingent did light training, Marco Giampaolo guided the rest of the squad – including Linetty, who didn’t play for Poland – through a warm-up, some rondos and a series of tactical drills.

Edgar Barreto trained separately while Carlos Carbonero and Daniel Pavlovic pushed on with their respective recovery plans. Dodo didn’t train today due to flu.

Thursday’s session, when Luis Muriel is expected to return to the fold, will take place behind closed doors.
