Morning workout in Bogliasco ahead of Fiorentina, Correa undergoes tests in Rome

Sampdoria have stepped up their preparations for Sunday evening’s match against Fiorentina, with a warm-up, fitness work, technical and tactical drills and finishing all featuring at the Centro Sportivo Mugnaini this morning.

Head coach Walter Zenga decided to give Antonio Cassano the session off, while Andrea Coda and Nenad Krsticic continued their personalised programmes.

After picking up a knock in a practice game yesterday, Joaquin Correa went for medical tests in Rome with club doctor Amedeo Baldari today that showed up muscular damage to the biceps femoris on his right leg. The Argentine midfielder has already begun his recovery plan and will continue working on it for the next few days.

There’s one session planned for tomorrow morning behind closed doors, which will be immediately followed by Zenga’s pre-match press conference at around 13:00 CET.

Make sure you tune in to Samp TV or Twitter and get clued up before Sunday’s contest.
