Planning for the future: Samp unveil new academy residence

The club’s brand-new accommodation facility for youth-team players, the Residenza Academy U.C. Sampdoria, was unveiled today in Bogliasco.

In a bold step to build for the future, Sampdoria formally opened the academy residence for youngsters who come from outside Genoa. There was a large crowd of media and sports personalities in attendance at the ceremony.

President Massimo Ferrero and Samp director Antonio Romei did the honours of cutting the ribbon.

Guests at the unveiling included Minister of Sport Luca Lotti, president of the regional Olympic committee Antonio Micillo, councillor for sport in Liguria Mario Doria, Mayor of Genoa Gianluigi Briscia and many others.
