Return to training in Bogliasco; Bereszynski and Ramirez undergo tests

It was almost a full complement for training in Bogliasco today, as Sampdoria began their preparations for Sunday’s trip to Atalanta.

Minus only Italy internationals Gianluca Caprari and Gian Marco Ferrari, away on a training camp with the Azzurri, the squad was divided into two groups at the start of the session. Those who played against Udinese had a recovery workout split between gym and pitch, while the rest, including Jacopo Sala and Valerio Verre, played an in-house friendly against the Primavera.

Bartosz Bereszynski and Gaston Ramirez both had physio and pool therapy following the injuries they picked up on the weekend (right hip abductor and left ankle respectively). The pair’s conditions will be monitored daily, and they have already begun their specific fitness programmes.

The Blucerchiati will be back out on Wednesday for a double session.
