Samp kick things off with a double training session

Walter Zenga began his Sampdoria reign with a double session on the first day of the Blucerchiati’s preseason training camp in Ponte di Legno today. The squad reported to the Centro Sportivo in Temù bright and early this morning, where Zenga opened the session with a speech to his new charges out on the pitch. Zenga then divided the squad into three groups, which alternated between a piggy-in-the-middle possession game, exercises in the sandpit and tactical drills. The Blucerchiati rounded off the morning session with a minimatch.

The afternoon saw Zenga’s men focus primarily on tactics. The Blucerchiati worked on new set-piece routines before being put through their paces with a nine-a-side tactical match on a 70m pitch. The squad will have another double session tomorrow.
