Samp say goodbye to Pinzolo, morning training before heading to Turin in the afternoon

Sampdoria have said goodbye to Pinzolo with a morning training session involving a warm-up, passing games, pace drills and a training match on a reduced pitch.

The Centro Sportivo Pineta in Val Rendena has been a welcoming home for the Blucerchiati over the past two weeks. It has been a fortnight full of running, exercises and matches, in which Walter Zenga and his coaching staff have set out their foundations for the season that is about to kick off officially with the 2015-16 Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday evening.

There’s nothing to report on the injury front. Christian Puggioni and Joaquin Correa have made progress and alternated between physiotherapy, gym and pitch work. Alessandro De Vitis and Marco Marchionni continued their personalised programmes, while Niklas Moisander went through a physio session.

Ahead of the match against Vojvodina, the squad will travel to Turin this afternoon, where tomorrow evening, Wednesday, they’ll apply the finishing touches at 20:00.

This light session at the Stadio Olimpico will be preceded by a news conference given by Sampdoria’s head coach at 19:30.
