Samp train ahead of Coppa Italia, afternoon session on Wednesday

Sampdoria continued their preparations for Thursday night’s Coppa Italia Round of 16 clash with Roma on Tuesday with another training session in Bogliasco.

Marco Giampaolo and his team organised a recovery session for the players involved for all or most of the Empoli game (including Dennis Praet), while the rest of the group worked out in the gym before heading outside for a regular training session.

Edgar Barreto worked through an aerobic session in the pool, while Carlos Carbonero, Jacopo Sala and Emiliano Viviano continued their rehabilitation programmes.

Samp will train again on Wednesday afternoon, after which the squad will fly south to Rome. There will be no pre-match press conference.
