Sampdoria’s 2017/18 pre-season friendlies

After the prestigious friendly with Manchester United was announced, the remainder of Sampdoria’s 2017/18 pre-season plans are starting to fall into place.

Just like last year, the Blucerchiati will face fourth-tier Sellero Novelle and third-tier Feralpisalò on Saturday 15 and Saturday 22 July respectively in Temù. Doria will then face newly-promoted Serie B side Cremonese on Wednesday 26 July on the same ground which hosts their Ponte di Legno summer training camp. All three matches in Alta Valle Camonica kick off at 17:30.

On the way back to Genoa, Marco Giampaolo’s men will meet Hellas Verona in Trento on Saturday 29 July at the Stadio Briamasco. The match against the Serie A newcomers will start at 18:00.

Ahead of the return to competitive action (expected to be 12 August in the Coppa Italia), Sampdoria’s pre-season exertions end with a trip to Dublin’s Aviva Stadium to play Manchester United. The Blucerchiati meet Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils at 19:45 BST on Wednesday 2 August.
