Saponara out to prove himself: “Giampaolo will help me rediscover my best form”

It’s time to bounce back for Riccardo Saponara, who joins Sampdoria determined to prove his critics wrong after a year and a half in the purple of Fiorentina.

“I’m coming to a big football city in Genoa and joining a historic club where I’ll be able to show what I can do,” he said in an interview with Doria’s official channel. “I’m linking back up with Marco Giampaolo, who got the best out of me at Empoli. I’m sure that I’ll be able to rediscover my best form working under him and I’ll give everything to show my new fans what I’m about as a player and a footballer.”
