Small-sided games in preparation for Inter. Giampaolo press conference on Saturday

Sampdoria took another step towards Sunday’s visit to Inter at the San Siro when they trained in Bogliasco on Friday morning.

With sporting director Carlo Osti watching on, Marco Giampaolo and the coaching staff guided the players through a series of small-sided games with the game against Luciano Spalletti’s side in mind.

Lorenzo Tonelli joined in with the rest of the squad, as did Primavera youngsters Mohamed Bahlouli, Leonardo Benedetti and Masimiliano Doda.

Elsewhere Omar Colley, Jakub Jankto and Gaston Ramirez did personalised recovery work.

Edgar Barreto worked separately in the gym and on the pitch while Gianluca Caprari had his first pool session since undergoing surgery to reduce his fractured fibula on 24 January.

On Saturday the team will train in the morning, after which Giampaolo will sit down with the media to discuss Sunday’s match at 13:00 CET.
