South American contingent returns to Bogliasco as Fiorentina preparation continues

Sampdoria’s South American contingent were back in Bogliasco for the first time on Monday as they returned from the extended holiday granted by Marco Giampaolo and his coaching staff.

Ricky Alvarez, Edgar Barreto, Dodo Pires, Gaston Ramirez, Matias Silvestre, Lucas Torreira and Duvan Zapata all reported for today’s afternoon session, which featured preventative training and aerobic work.

The South Americans were not alone at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini, however, as Leonardo Capezzi, Karol Linetty, Nicola Murru and Ivan Strinic were also in attendance, focusing on their individual recovery plans in the gym.

The full Doria squad will assemble on Tuesday morning for their first proper training session ahead of Sunday’s visit of Fiorentina.
