Squad back in training minus the South Americans. Double session on Sunday

The Blucerchiati returned to training on Saturday after a week off for Serie A’s midwinter break. The South American players were absent as they have been given two extra days to allow for travelling.

After a warm-up, Marco Giampaolo and the coaching staff had the squad do some injury-prevention exercises, technical drills and aerobic work.

The players will train twice on Sunday with fitness tests planned for the morning and a standard training session in the afternoon.

Sampdoria’s next league game is at home to Fiorentina on Sunday 21 January.
