The players followed a warm-up with drills on tactics and technique during training earlier as preparations continue for the trip to Torino.

Edgar Barreto, Angelo Palombo (lower back) and Emiliano Viviano weren’t involved with the main session, as they all trained separately. However, the Primavera’s Ibourahima Balde, Andrea Tessiore and Michal Tomic all joined up with the first team. Luis Muriel and Jacopo Sala continued their respective recovery programmes meantime.

Sampdoria will train again on Friday morning behind closed doors before Marco Giampaolo addresses the media at 13:00 (live updates on Twitter, highlights on Samp TV). Before that, at 12:45, there will be a press conference to unveil the plans main sponsor Invent have in store for the fans.
