Training resumes ahead of Verona. Group work in Bogliasco, next session Tuesday

The Sampdoria players began preparations for Hellas Verona earlier, a day on from their convincing win over Frosinone. Vincenzo Montella wanted his players back to work quickly and split them into two groups for the first session of the week, with those involved on Sunday training separately.

While those who featured against Frosinone worked on recovery, the rest enjoyed a full workout (warm-up, rondo, training games and shooting practice).

Pedro Pereira and Jacopo Sala continued their respective recovery programmes on the main pitch at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini.

David Ivan is suffering from a thigh strain. The midfielder – who began physio after sustaining the injury in the final session before the last game – will be assessed over the coming days.

The squad will train again on Tuesday afternoon.
