Training resumes in Bogliasco as Alessandro Nesta observes Giampaolo

Sampdoria were back at a sunny Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Tuesday to resume training following Sunday’s win over Torino.

The players involved for all or most of the 2-0 win at Marassi kicked things off in the gym before working through some fitness exercises on the main pitch, while the rest of the squad – including Carlos Carbonero and Daniel Pavlovic – were put through their paces with a high-intensity session.

There was a famous face at the training ground in the form of Alessandro Nesta, the 2006 World Cup winner and current coach of Miami FC. With the North American Soccer League regular season now at an end, the legendary defender will be spending a few days observing the methods used by Marco Giampaolo and his staff.

The squad will train again on Wednesday morning.
