Upcoming international matches involving Sampdoria players

Nine Sampdoria players have been called up to their respective national teams for the upcoming round of international fixtures. Five of those will be involved in the UEFA Nations League, one will be targeting qualification for the European Under-21 Championship, and three are set for friendly contests.

Here are details on all the games involving Blucerchiati players (all kick-off times CET):

Poland and Czech Republic. Bartosz Bereszynski and Jakub Jankto will be on opposing sides as Poland and the Czech Republic face off in a friendly in Gdansk (Thursday 15 November at 18:00).
Jankto will then be in the Czech Republic squad to take on Slovakia in Prague (Monday 19 at 20:45), as they look to hold onto second position in Group 1 (League B) in the Nations League.
Bereszynski will be in the Poland side travelling to Guimarães to play Portugal (Tuesday 20 at 20:45), who are currently top of Group 3 (League A).

Belgium. Dennis Praet is in the Belgium team preparing for two key matches in Group 2 (League A) in the Nations League. The team will play Iceland, who are still stuck on zero points, in Brussels (Thursday 15 November at 20:45). Then comes the decisive clash with Switzerland in Lucerne (Sunday 18 at 20:45).

Sweden. Albin Ekdal’s team faces two key contests in Group 2 (League B). They will play Turkey in Eskişehir (Saturday 17 November at 20:45), before taking on Russia in Stockholm (Tuesday 20 at 20:45).

Slovenia. Vid Belec is in the squad for a Group 3 (League C) double header, beginning in Ljubljana  where they will play group leaders Norway (Friday 16 November at 20:45). They will then travel to Sofia to face Bulgaria (Monday 19 at 20:45).

Under-21s. Dawid Kownacki’s Poland side face a two-legged clash with Portugal as both sides target qualification for the European Under-21 Championship in Italy and San Marino in June 2019. The first leg will take place in Zabrze (Friday 16 November at 18:00), with the second leg set to be played in Chaves (Tuesday 20 at 18:00).
Joachim Andersen and Emil Audero will be involved in friendly match ups. Denmark will play Spain in Logroño (Wednesday 14 at 18:00) and England in Esbjerg (Tuesday 20 at 18:00). Italy will face that same England team in Ferrara (Thursday 15 at 18:30) before taking on Germany in Reggio Emilia (Monday 19 at 18:30).

Under-20s. Last of all, Ronaldo Vieira is in the England team that will play Germany in Colchester (Monday 19 at 20:00).
