Viviano: “Let’s get this club back where it belongs”

Emiliano Viviano has experienced highs and lows during his time at Sampdoria: a riveting debut season that ended in Europa League qualification, followed by a decidedly below-par campaign last time out.

Now embarking on his third year at the club, with a new coach and fresh blood, our No.1 is adamant that Doria can scale the heights once again.

“Giampaolo works really hard and he knows what he’s doing,” the 30-year-old told Samp TV in an exclusive interview after 10 days of training in Bogliasco.

“There’s a good team spirit here and the new boys are settling in well.

“We know we messed up last season. Now we have to knuckle down and get this club back where it deserves to be.”
