Backstage at Sampdoria’s historic 2020/21 photo shoot

Sampdoria’s 2020/21 photo shoot was historic for two reasons. First of all, because the squad was immortalised in masks for the first time, symbolising the sense of responsibility that each of us must display more than ever at present. Secondly, because the location of the shoot was historic: Villa del Principe, the enchanting dwelling where prestigious admiral Andrea Doria lived and from whom our club proudly inherited its name.

In front of the building’s noble porticos, Ranieri and his charges were all smiles for Pegaso Newsport’s photographers Simone Arveda and Paolo Rattini. Equipped with Siks ADV video cameras, Marta Pirino and Gabriele Sorrentino filmed every second of the shoot on Thursday morning and put together a brilliant behind-the-scenes video for your enjoyment.
