Candreva: “I’m pleased with the goal”

Antonio Candreva scored his maiden goal for the Blucerchiati by drilling a lot shot through the legs of Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu. “I’m pleased with my first goal,” explained the Doria number 87, “but I’m angry about the result because we had it in our grasp. It wasn’t easy today because we were off the back of three defeats in a row and this is a difficult ground to visit. There is a feeling of disappointment because we didn’t take all three points. We’re angry and disappointed.”

The veteran tried to explain what changed at half-time: “We spoke at half-time about how we had to do more in the second half, but we also should’ve won the game once we went 2-1 up. As for my fitness, I’m gradually getting back into my rhythm. What matters is that we’re generating excitement and enjoying ourselves. We have a tough match coming up against Milan and we’ll have to be at the top of our game.”
