Coppa Italia: Crotone beat Arezzo to set up Sampdoria clash
Sampdoria will take on Crotone in the third round of the 2019/20 Coppa Italia after Giovanni Stroppa’s side saw off a spirited Arezzo at the Stadio Scida on Sunday.
Despite quickly opening up a two-goal lead (Barberis in the first minute and Simy in the seventh), Crotone found themselves 3-2 barely 15 minutes later. The Serie B outfit rallied to equalise through Golemic on 33 minutes, before bagging the winner on 75 minutes courtesy of Zak.
The third-round clash with take place at the Stadio Scida on Sunday 18 August (kick-off time to be decided). The winner will face either Cagliari or Chievo Verona in the fourth round on 4 December.
