Defrel: “That was the real Sampdoria”

An outstanding performance against one of the best teams in Italy, two goals for himself and three points for Sampdoria. Gregoire Defrel was understandably just a bit chuffed following Sunday’s 3-0 win against Napoli.

“I don’t think many people were expecting a performance like this after last week’s game at Udinese, but that was the real Sampdoria tonight,” the Frenchman told Samp TV after the match in Marassi.

“There was an amazing atmosphere at the stadium and we’d prepared for the game really well so we’re delighted with the result. We just need to keep it up now.”
