Di Francesco: “The start is never easy but we’ll make sure we’re ready”

Sampdoria will be all set to go by the time their Serie A curtain-raiser comes around in just under four weeks’ time, says Eusebio Di Francesco.

The coach was speaking exclusively to sampdoria.it after the fixture list for the 2019/20 league campaign was released on Monday night.

Doria begin with a home game against Lazio on the weekend of 24-25 August before travelling to Sassuolo a week later.

“The start of the season is never easy regardless of your opponents,” Di Francesco said.

“It’s all new for everyone and it will be the same for us, especially as it’s the start of a new era for this club.

“We have two tough matches against two solid teams before the first international break but we’ll keep working away over the coming weeks and make sure we’re ready for the big kick-off. Forza Samp!”
