Double session in build-up to Lazio, afternoon training on Thursday

Sampdoria were at a rainy Bogliasco today for a double helping of training, morning and afternoon, as preparations increase for the Lazio fixture on Sunday.

The morning was given over mainly to fitness work, first in the gym for strengthening and then outside for some aerobic drills. The entire squad took part in the morning, Jacopo Sala included on his return to the group.

After lunch, the players came back out for technical and tactical exercises. Joachim Andersen, Albin Ekdal, Alex Ferrari and Fabio Quagliarella all trained individually for precautionary reasons.

There’s an afternoon session scheduled for tomorrow.
