European qualifiers: wins for Poland, Czech Republic and Sweden

It was a positive night overall for Sampdoria players involved in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers last night, with three wins and defeat in matches involving Blucerchiati.

Poland. Bartosz Bereszynski played the duration of a 1-0 win over North Macedonia in Skopje, with Poland keeping up their record of maximum points so far in Group G. Karol Linetty had made the squad and was on the bench for the victory, earned with a goal from Krzysztof Piątek.

Czech Republic. Jakub Jankto was in the starting eleven in what was his team’s first win in Group A and was substituted on 82 minutes. Czech Republic beat Bulgaria 2-1 in Prague, thanks to a brace from Patrik Schick.

Sweden. Captained by Albin Ekdal, who was substituted after 77 minutes, the Scandinavian side beat Malta 3-0. The Sweden win, which came thanks to goals from Robin Quaison, Viktor Claesson, and Alexander Isak, takes the team to second place in Group F.

Slovenia. Vid Belec was on the bench in Klagenfurt as his side lost 1-0 to Austria in Group G.
