Ferrari arrives at Samp: “I want to improve my game and help my team-mates”
A passion for football runs in the family for Alex Ferrari. His grandfather, uncle and brother have all played the game at a lower level, but the defender is the first to feature in Serie A. He arrives at Sampdoria from Bologna, after spending a year and a half on loan at Hellas Verona.
“From the bottom of my heart I want to thank president Massimo Ferrero, for giving me the opportunity to play in this team,” he said.
“I feel at ease both as a full back and in the centre. I’m quick and cover a lot of ground. I can also show my qualities when I get space.
“Marco Giampaolo is a manager that focuses a great deal on the defensive portion of the pitch. With his help I truly believe I can develop even more.
“My aim with Sampdoria this year is to improve my game and help my team-mates. We need to keep improving together.”
