First full-size match for Samp after tactics in morning session

Walter Zenga kicked off the morning session in Temù today with some athletic work, before putting his Samp squad through their paces with intensive session on tactics. Attacking coach Claudio Bellucci and defensive coach Gigi Cagni took charge as the team split up to work on those two phases of the game in particular, while Zenga focused on set pieces. After the session, the players took a dip in the River Oglio before grabbing some well-earned lunch.

The afternoon session had a slightly different feel to it, with a 15-minute warm-up preceding a full-size training match. It was blues take oranges as Brignoli (later replaced by Puggioni), Pereira, Salamon, Moisander, Mesbah, Lulic, De Vitis, Barreto, Duncan, Eder and Bonazzoli faced off against Viviano (later replaced by Brignoli), Cassani, Palombo, Coda, Regini, Wszolek, Ivan, Campana, Correa, Okaka and Oneto. The oranges took it thanks to strikes from Okaka and Regini, with former Napoli, Palermo and Atalanta coach Bortolo Mutti watching on.

The Blucerchiati have another double session waiting for them on Saturday.
