Keep Racism Out: Serie A takes a stand

Through a series of initiatives as part of the seventeenth action week against racism organised by the UNAR (the Italian Office against Racial Discrimination) every year, the Lega Serie A and the UNAR are promoting the Keep Racism Out programme, the first of its kind by the Lega Serie A which aims to fight all forms of discrimination in football. This year, it will take place between 21 and 27 March.

Many months ago, thanks to the support and involvement of all 20 top-flight clubs, the first part of this important journey began with the opening day of the league campaign dedicated to the Keep Racism Out initiative, the staging of a workshop in December and the creation of a permanent CSR committee which set out a plan of action for eradicating racism from football stadiums in Italy.

The Lega Serie A will dedicate Matchday 28 of the 2020/21 Serie A TIM season on 19, 20 and 21 March to the campaign. To this end, a video has been put together calling for a collective effort, with 20 footballers, one per club, launching a clear message of inclusion in the battle against racism.
