Primavera championship: Samp hold AC Milan to goalless draw
Sampdoria produced a sterling rear-guard effort away from home to keep AC Milan at bay and maintain a two-point advantage over them.
It was a tough game at the Stadio Vismara, with both teams somewhat paralysed by nerves going forward, but Simone Pavan’s players were mature and structured to gain a vital point in the fight to stay up.
The Blucerchiati were also the beneficiaries of a stroke of luck when Gabriele Capanni missed a penalty, but nevertheless: a win in the final game of the season against Chievo Verona and survival is secured.
It’s all in our hands.
