Primavera: Samp snatch late equaliser at Chievo
Sampdoria Primavera struck deep into second-half stoppage time to salvage a point away at Chievo Verona on Saturday. It was no more than the young Blucerchiati deserved, having dominated much of the game only to fall behind with just seven minutes remaining.
Doria started well, despite Chievo hitting the woodwork just before the 15-minute mark, with both teams enjoying a number of chances in the opening half. Yet it was Samp who upped the pace in the second half, forcing Chievo keeper Caprile into a number of impressive saves.
The Chievo goal came on 83 minutes, as Pavlev fired past Hutvagner for 1-0, but Samp were not to be denied and Farabegoli popped up unmarked in the box to make it 1-1 in the fourth minute of added time.
