Ranieri puts Samp through their paces with double group session

For the first time in 68 days, the entire Sampdoria squad returned to Bogliasco on Monday for a double helping of individual training in groups.

Claudio Ranieri, his coaching team, sporting director Carlo Osti and scouting director Riccardo Pecini were all back at the training ground too – all wearing masks and gloves of course.

With three dressing rooms set up in accordance with the prevention measures, the squad focused on technical drills and fitness in the morning, followed by just fitness in the afternoon. Primavera youngsters Felico D’Amico and Matteo Raspa joined in with the first-team squad.

Alex Ferrari was the only first-team player missing as he continues his post-injury rehab in Bologna.

Samp will train again on Tuesday.
