Samp women U19 put five past Virtus in historic first victory

After drawing their inaugural fixture against Superba, Sampdoria Women U19s recorded their first-ever victory at home against Virtus Entella on Sunday.

The Doria girls – playing their maiden campaign in the Eccellenza league – saw off the visitors by a resounding 5-1 scoreline at the Stadio Boeri.

Valentino got the opener on the half-hour mark but the lead lasted just two minutes as Spaccamonti levelled for Virtus. Traversone put Samp in front again on 36 minutes to give the Blucerchiate a 2-1 advantage at the break.

Our girls dominated the second period, with further strikes by Lopez (2) and Baghino rounding off the scoring.

Calvi’s girls now have four points going into their rest week. They’re next in action against Pavia in Matchday 4 on 2 May.
