Tactical drills and a training match on Thursday. Ranieri conference on Friday

The team had their third training session of the week on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s visit of Fiorentina.

Claudio Ranieri divided the morning programme into two parts: an initial phase in which the full squad warmed up with the ball and did some tactical drills together, followed by a training match.

While the majority of the players took part in the match, Fabio Quagliarella, Gaston Ramirez, Lorenzo Tonelli and Morten Thorsby – the players who have racked up the most minutes in recent fixtures – did personalised work.

Alex Ferrari is continuing his post-operation rehabilitation in Bologna while remaining in constant contact with Sampdoria medical staff.

The Blucerchiati will train again on Friday morning before Ranieri sits down with the media at 13:00 CET to discuss the game against Fiorentina.
