Throwback, 25 years on from our fourth Coppa Italia crown

20 April 1994: on this day 25 years ago Sampdoria celebrated their fourth Coppa Italia victory as Sven-Goran Eriksson’s side overcame Ancona 6-1 in the return leg of the final to claim our last piece of silverware (for now).

The scorers on that unforgettable night were Gullit (officially Vecchiola, as he got the final touch), Vierchowod, Bertarelli, Evani and Lombardo, (2).
