Training resumes without internationals

The Sampdoria squad were back in training on Thursday morning. After the victory over Torino on Sunday and Claudio Ranieri gave the squad three days off, the players were back out on pitch one at the Mugnaini in Bogliasco to be put through their paces without the likes of Keita Balde, Bartosz Bereszynski, Omar Colley, Mikkel Damsgaard, Albin Ekdal, Jakub Jankto, Nik Prelec, Morten Thorsby and Maya Yoshida, all of whom are currently on international duty.

After some initial intense fitness drills, the session continued with a compelling handball clash and small-sided games by position. Having proved his fitness by passing the tests linked to the current protocols in place, Karlo Letica returned to training with the other goalkeepers. Ernesto Torregrossa had a session in the swimming pool. The players will have another training session on Friday morning.
