Primavera: SPAL victorious despite positive display

Sampdoria slipped to a 1-0 defeat away at SPAL on the first day of the Primavera 1 TIMVISION 2021/22 season.

The result is a disappointing one for Felice Tufano and his side, who played well and created several chances to score in Ferrara.

The only goal of the game was scored ten minutes before half time, when Alessandro Orfei’s right-footed effort beat Matteo Esposito in the Sampdoria goal to give the home side a 1-0 lead.

Sampdoria came out fighting in the second half, creating a slew of chances to no avail. And though Tufano sent on reinforcements as the game wore on, there was to be no equalising goal for the young Doria side.
