Primavera: 10-man Samp come from behind to beat Verona

Sampdoria U19s produced a valiant display to secure three points in their last game of the year, despite playing with ten men for an hour.

Yeboah fired Verona into the lead with an unstoppable effort 20 minutes in and the Blucerchiati’s task became even more difficult on the half-hour mark when captain Aquino was given his marching orders after collecting two yellow cards.

However, our boys didn’t lose heart and Sepe managed to restore parity seven minutes before the break.

In the second half Doria were saved by the woodwork at one point before Trimboli scored a magnificent free kick to claim victory, leaving Felice Tufano’s side in tenth place going into the new year.
