Samp Primavera draw 1-1 with Atalanta

Sampdoria picked up a point at home to Atalanta on Saturday, as Lorenzo Di Stefano cancelled out Alassane Sidibe’s first-half opener.

With fewer than 15 minutes on the clock, the visitors took the lead from a set piece, as the Ivorian escaped his marker at the far post to clinically volley a corner from the left high into the Samp net. Early in the second period, Gerard Yepes Laut cut inside from the left and curled a splendid effort against the woodwork. Fortunately, Di Stefano was on hand to send the rebound into the net from close range, hauling the home side deservedly level.

The draw sees the Blucerchiati under-19s end the weekend in second spot in the table, a point below Inter who took pole position with their win at Roma and one ahead of Juventus who closed in on Doria with a win over Genoa.
