Samp Primavera run continues with Milan win

Sampdoria Primavera continued their rich vein of form by beating Milan this weekend in Bogliasco to take themselves to 20 points in the league and to second spot in the Primavera 1 TIM standings. The match was decided by a single goal from Jamie Yayi Mpie.

After an uneventful and goal-less first 45 minutes, the Blucerchiati intensified their game and were given a boost on 70 minutes, when substitute Mattia Cretti was red-carded, having been judged by the referee to have been the last man when he brought down a goal-bound Federico Gaggero.

With a one-man advantage, Sampdoria took the lead just a few minutes later. Yayi Mpie collected a cross into the box from the left by Antonis Siatounis. Yayi Mpie had the time to control the ball before firing low past the Milan keeper. After another victory, the Blucerchiati will look to keep their run going next weekend when they host Roma, who are currently top of the Primavera 1 TIM table.
