U19s beat Torino 3-0 to go joint top

Sampdoria Primavera continued their climb up the table with an impressive 3-0 away victory over Torino.

Nik Prelec gave Samp the lead on 20 minutes when he rose highest to head home Giordano’s cross. The hosts had the chance to level the scores 12 minutes later but Petar Zovko did brilliantly to save Jean Freddi Greco’s penalty. Minutes later the Blucerchiati doubled their lead as Emanuel Ercolano fired in from outside the box following a corner.

In the second half, Doria defended tidily to withstand Torino’s pressure before Adam Obert put the match to bed with a quarter of an hour left to play.

Victory sees Felice Tufano’s side extend their unbeaten run to seven games and momentarily puts them level on points with leaders Roma and Inter, who both still have to play this weekend.
