Anti-Juve: Eder, De Silvestri and Icardi knock bianconeri down

They’ve
searched for it all championship long and on the last match they
finally found it. Here we are: the anti-Juve. Only Sampdoria has
never dropped points against Antonio Conte’s Vecchia
Signora
and it is also the only team able to double beat the winner of the
competition. The first time was on the 6th
January in Turin, and the second one now, on the 18th
May in Marassi: a different story, a different result, a different masterpiece
that allows Delio Rossi’s blucerchiati
to reach 42 points in the ranking and to get again the preeminence of
the city for 56 out of 67 seasons.

ahead but some minutes later Samp pulls it level: Chiellini commits a
foul on Mauro Icardi, the referee awards us a penalty and Eder Citadin beats
Storari. The second half of the match starts with some occasions for
the bianconeri,

when Lorenzo De Silvestri redoubles with a header from a corner by Marcelo Estigarribia. Around the minute 30th
the blucerchiati
give the final blow on a counterattack: Estigarribia races on the
right flank and gives the ball to Icardi, who scores the 3-1 and
that’s the apotheosis of pleasure! Then Giaccherini scores the
final 3-2 making a little less bitter the defeat for Juve.

Analysis.
At the end of the match president Edoardo Garrone is, inevitably, happy:
«It’s been a true match. Juve never gives away points even if,
talking about the League, everything was already decided. It’s an
enormous satisfaction. Congrats to everybody for giving to our
supporters a big satisfaction. It’s been a season characterized by
difficult moments. I would always go on with the same people, without
making changes, but I know that football sometimes requires changes.
We made them and in January we corrected the season. Then we lived
another bad period since this team does its best when it’s compact.
In the last part of the championship we thought we were saved, we
relaxed and we started losing, suffering until the match against
Catania. I hope that our next season will be characterized by less
seesawing emotions, but with this match we have demonstrated that we
are probably better that how somebody tried to describe us».
