Heart, goals and a thrilling end: Cagliari and Samp drew 2-2
We needed a signal and we
got it. The team is alive, drops a line and fights with us. In the
unusual set of the "Nereo Rocco", traditional roles are inverted:
Cagliari’s bête noire is, this time, the Baciccia, guilty of
having ruined the rossoblù’s party right when they were thinking
of coming back to Sardinia with 3 points, once again. In Trieste
almost everything happens: goals scored, goals ruled out and four
final minutes rare to see during a football match. Disadvantage,
suffering and recovery. A round trip to the hell. The result is a
right 2-2, draw that gives back to the derby’s unspeakable team an
identity, a point, a soul and, above all, a heart.
Disadvantage. Differently from last Sunday, Delio
Rossi decides to start with the debutants Davide Gavazzi and Pawel Wszolek in the
line-up. However, because of our remissive attitude and Cagliari’s
initiatives, Sampdoria has to chase the opposing team. At the minute 26th
Cagliari is put in front by Ekdal; at the minute 37th Wszolek
equalises but the linesman flagged for un inexistent offside
position, so the first half of the match ends with Samp at
disadvantage.
Emotions. Despite Gianluca Sansone and Nicola Pozzi’s
entrances, the result doesn’t change until last minute, when
Manolo Gabbiadini scores and equalises, thanks also to an error of the
goalkeeper Agazzi. The match seems over but the final gives strong
emotions: during the added time Conti scores the 2-1 on a free-kick
that beats both the wall and Angelo Da Costa. The blucerchiati,
however, don’t give up and Lorenzo De Silvestri scores again. Samp is alive and on Wednesday the midweek match
will be against Roma at the "Ferraris" stadium.
