Sampdoria surrenders to Hellas Verona, let’s now focus on Sassuolo

This year, in the city of the Arena,
everybody has fallen down. Milan, Sassuolo, Livorno and Parma.
Sampdoria is not an exception: the blucerchiati,
after two consecutive victories, surrender to a well-organized and
concrete Hellas Verona. A team that is really cruel in taking
advantage of the few possibilities of a match without big emotions.
In the "Bentegodi" friendly atmosphere – emphasized by the social
twinning between the two clubs – the blucerchiati
are too submissive and the logical consequence is the fifth seasonal
defeat. A false step that must be quickly forgotten, on Sunday, in
the home match against Sassuolo, a direct contender.

Strikers. The match is decided by two Veronese
strikers: Gomez Taleb and Toni. The first one scores at the minute
6th on
assist by the 2006 World Champion Toni, who is also the author of the
final 2-0.

No reaction. At the end of the match Delio Rossi is
synthetic: «In the first half we managed to control Verona, even if
we’ve never been able to restart, while I’m not satisfied with
the performance of my team in the second one, after the 1-0». The mister criticizes the lack of reaction of his guys, especially after Gomez’s goal. «We didn’t react – he says – and what’s
more, we have shown no temperament. Substitutions? I’ve done them
hoping to make my team more concrete but it didn’t work».
