Master stroke in Toro’s home: Okaka and Gabbiadini defeat the granata

Technique,
perseverance and determination. We needed specific weapons to defeat
the granata of mister Giampiero Ventura at the “Olimpico” of Turin. We actually
showed them all and the final result paid Sinisa Mihajlovic and his guys back:
in the city of the Mole, the blucerchiati did a real master stroke,
applying a muzzle to the granata fire-powers and going one step further
towards safety.

The match. Andrea Costa, Angelo Palombo and Maxi López are not at disposal but our mister can count on the reenter Daniele Gastaldello and choses a defence with the captain in the middle and Lorenzo De Silvestri on the right wing. In the midfield Nenad Krsticic has a day of rest: Renan Garcia replaces him and plays next to Pedro Obiang. Stefano Okaka is the only striker with the trio Gabbiadini-Eder-Soriano to support him. Samp takes advantage of the first occasion: on a free-kick by Renan, repelled by the defence, Obiang puts the ball in the middle with a header, the bounce favors Okaka who, from a dubious position, is able to defeat Padelli. Thanks to a great Angelo Da Costa the blucerchiati maintain the lead until the minute 34th of the second half, when Manolo Gabbiadini doubles and closes the match with a wonderful left free-kick.

Comments. «We played well and we deserved to win» said Mihajlovic at the end of the match, applauding the whole team and with a special mention to Da Costa and Okaka. The striker thanks his mister: «I’m happy but we still have to fight in order to win matches, make points and reach the mathematical salvation. We did a great performance and we got three essential points». Eder Citadin Martins adds: «Since Mihajlovic arrived we have always done well against teams that are at our level, Torino included, and we have lost only against big teams. I think we can’t ask this group for more».
