23 in squad for Palermo trip. Calò gets first call-up, Barreto out
Sampdoria trained at the Gloriano Mugnaini on Saturday morning ahead of their visit to Palermo.
Vincenzo Montella and his backroom staff had the players focus mainly on tactics and set pieces with Sunday afternoon’s opponents in mind
Academy youngster Giacomo Calò trained with the first team today and has been drafted into the matchday squad for the trip to Sicily. The forward will wear shirt number 28.
However, a bruised knee has ruled Edgar Barreto out of the game while David Ivan (who did individual work on the pitch today), Niklas Moisander (in the gym) and Carlos Carbonero (continuing his post-op recovery in Barcelona) aren’t involved either.
