First day of camp at Temù: Giampaolo straight to work on defensive line
Samp got straight down to it at Temù, with the defensive line the main focus of the day for Marco Giampaolo. Sampdoria’s 2018 summer training camp at Ponte di Legno kicked off with work centred around the team’s defenders.
Marco Giampaolo and his coaching staff, after preventative exercises in the gym, soon set up a series of off-the-ball exercises on the training pitch. The midfielders and attackers then had their moment as the team began to hone their attacking tactics.
The afternoon saw the whole squad united for situational mini-matches. Valerio Verre and Gaston Ramirez underwent personalised programmes to strengthen specific areas. On Tuesday another double session is planned.
