Last double session of the year for Samp as Alvarez arrives at the Mugnaini

Sampdoria had their last double training session of the year on Tuesday as they look to start 2016 with a bang.

With Samp’s four South American players still away on leave, the squad split up into groups in the morning to work in the gym and on a series of technique- and tactics-based drills outside. Meanwhile, the Blucerchiati headed to the upper pitch in the afternoon for some more technical and tactical work.

Vincenzo Montella was without Djamel Mesbah and Nenad Krsticic, both of whom continued working on their recovery plans.

The squad has an afternoon session planned for Wednesday.

Ricky Alvarez arrived at the training ground during the afternoon session to take a look round the facilities. The club has agreed that the Argentine midfielder will undergo a trial. Check out his message to the Blucerchiati fans below!
